This trip was organized by Warren NC. 43 people from Warren, 30 adults and 13 children, went for this 1-day trip to Desaru on 19 Jul 08. The coach pickup point was just outside Warren lobby, very convenient. We left Warren at about 8:30am on the Sat morning. There was a jam near the 2nd Link. However, we entertained ourselves, singing karoake in the coach. By the time we reached Desaru for lunch (has baby lobsters for lunch), it was already close to 1pm.

The train arrived KL on time.No delay..thank goodness.

First very important thing we did was to buy our bus tickets to Malacca from Transnasional in Puduraya Bus Station. After that we then checked in to our hotel Ancasa which is located just next to the bus station.

We met SG around 10:30am and he brought us around KL.

Mainly we went to Low Yat Plaza to look for computer stuff. Then we went KLCC and visited the Discovery Center (all for Ming Liang’s sake). We later went up to the skybridge in Petronas Twin Towers. The last time we went KL we missed this chance. The view from skybridge is quite good.

In the nite, we had dinner and did shopping in Chinatown.

Water:H2O= Life Exhibition »

We visited the Water:H2O=Life exhibition at Singapore Science Center today. From the brochure, we get to know that this exhibition originated from the American Museum of Natural History. We are very fortunate to have a nice and pleasant teenage girl to be our exhibition guide. It certainly makes a difference for us as we know and understand more.

The exhibition covers a few items. One item is a showcase of species living in the iciest and wettest places in the world, and how climate change has affected these species. One species is the polar bears with thick fur to warm themselves. Another one is the emperor penguins. We were told that the specimen were real penguins being preserved. We also learned an interesting fact that camels do not store their water on the humps. The humps of the camels are actually heap of fats. The teenage guide told us the water is actually stored in their spongy jaws. But when ask Yahoo, it claims that water is actually stored in the stomach. Hmm…??

One interesting exhibit is the display of a lake which shows life above water and under water. It shows the life beneath the lake can be quite different from the above. Was impressed by how the exhibit was done up.

Today, we changed to a new car Nissan Latio.
Here’s our last pics of our old car (which is our 2nd family car) Nissan Sunny. It has served us well for the past 4 years. Bye bye Sunny. For the record, our 1st car is a Nissan March.
Indeed, we are Nissan loyal fans.

We always know how messy the boys’ room are. Well I am determined to clean it all up before the new school term starts. I finally did it…with a little help from the boys. Must take a pic of my proud work so that we can always remember how neat and clean the room can be.

Ming Xuan had a phobia to the “Giant Ants” at the Kota Tinggi waterfall. Ming Liang had a slip into the river and got wet all over the whole body. We had to buy him a new set of clothes to soothe him down.
